But I wouldn't have thought history to be one of them. One of the following is true:
- My fellow students are morons
- My fellow students are way more tired at 6:30 p.m. than I am and have no ambition or desire to answer questions
- You really do pick up a crapload of information that you don't even realize as you go through life
Now, I'm going to guess it's the last. In my HIST101 class tonight, there were a lot of definitions that my fellow students just didn't seem to have any idea about (excommunication, polytheistic, and heresy, to name a few).
All in all, though, I guess it bodes pretty well for my chance of getting another decent grade this semester, if I'm that far ahead of my fellow students. Just seems like it should be tougher than this.

You nailed it...college is a hell of a bunch easier at 30 something as opposed to 19.
I think it's because at 19, you feel like you have to do it, but not really sure why. Yeah they say it 's to prepare you for a job, but you hear about all the people that can't find jobs and you wonder why.
At 24+ you want to take the classes to learn and you have definite goals that you can achieve etc.
I'm taking Basic Photo this semester and at 28 I think it will be easier to stay and awake and it's something I want to take, not something I'm forced into, or something I should do.
meh... that's just me I guess.
I have to agree with Damion & Brian. I went back to college for my acct'ing degree at 38.
I had absolutely no tolerance for the "stupidness" of the 18 & 19 year old students who were there to make fun of teacher, joke around etc.
The classes at night were mixed in ages and those who were older all agreed: we were paying for the courses so we wanted to get the most out of them. The younger ones hadn't realized that since the parents were probably paying for the tuition.
