Quantcast Audiobook - Derek's Rantings and Musings

Audiobook

I bought my first audiobook last night. I have a book report on Bel Canto due on Thursday, and I haven't actually read it. I decided that I would make good use of my insanely long commute, and the fact that I can listen to things while I do work at the office, and decided to buy it from iTunes Music Store.

It's worked out pretty well so far. I've got about 6 hours out of the 11 hours of the book "read" so far. (This is not to say that I'm enjoying the book or anything, but just that this is a really efficient way of getting through it).

iTunes is reselling audible.com books with a nice markup.. go to the source, you'll pay less.

Some of the better fiction audiobooks are actually full dramatizations complete with sound effects and proper accents on voices, etc.

MONGO NOT LIKE......NO PICTURES

I actually read Bel Canto in high school, not a bad book by far but not something I would've read on my own.

When I was in school I used to record myself reading work I had to learn. I played it back last thing at night and usually fell asleep while listening to it. Last thing I heard at night, first thing I remembered in the morning. It was the way I studied for exams.
